Scholarships

Each year, we award two scholarships to deserving high school seniors from Collin County that are bound for OU. Each $1,000 scholarship will help the incoming freshman pay for necessary, academic tools to help their first year be a bit less of a financial burden. It is a $500 scholarship and a $500 in tuition waiver from the University. We award this scholarship based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, leadership, articulation of goals and plans and financial need.

Do you know or are you a current high school senior who has been accepted to OU?
If so, you can download our 2011-2012 scholarship form. Please fill it in completely and send it in by March 16, 2012 for consideration.

2011-2012 Scholarship Form

Congratulations to our 2011 Winners

Lacey Jenison

Lacey is a graduate of Plano Senior High School and will start OU in the fall as a communication and speech disorders major. She is interested in pursuing a career as a speech pathologist as well as travel to Europe and Australia sometime in the future. She says, "When I stepped onto the OU campus, I knew this was where I was supposed to spend my next four years. However, money was a bit of an issue, so I spent a lot of time filling out scholarships to be able to go to my dream school. When I got this acceptance letter in the mail, I was so excited. This scholarship will cover some of my non-resident tuition fee and my books for OU classes. This will help me out so much this semester, and I am very thankful I was chosen for the OU Club of Collin County Scholarship."

Samantha Hoffman

She plans to pursue her degree so that after graduation she can teach as a high school band director. She says, "I am honored to be chosen for this scholarship. With its help in paying for tuition I will be that much closer to paying off college and going on to what means the most to me, inspiring other students to love music just like my first band director did for me."
